ADULT SECTION Maintenance Lubrication Recommendations Inspect and lubricate all greaseable components at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 50. Controls and Linkage Lubricate all bushings and tie rod ends with a light coat of oil or grease. Remove the spindle shafts and lubricate the bushings on the top and bottom of the trailing arm. Lubricate throttle and brake controls and cables with POLARIS Premium All Season Grease. Force a small amount of lubricant down the cable. See page 58. Bearings Always grease drive shaft clutch side bearings with a high quality bearing grease to prevent corrosion, which will destroy the bearings. Electrical Connections Separate the electrical connector blocks and clean corrosive build-up from the connectors. Lubricate the blocks with dielectric grease and reconnect. Replace worn or frayed electrical wire and connectors. Be sure wiring harnesses are properly secured away from sharp edges, steering linkage, moving parts, and hot exhaust components. 73
