OPERATION Emergency Starting 12. Make sure that the engine stop switch is in the UP position. 13. Attempt to start the vehicle. 14. If the engine does not turn over (crank over), wait 30 to 60 seconds and attempt to start the engine again. If the engine does not start, wait another 1 to 2 minutes and attempt to start the engine again. 15. If the engine still does not start, try adjusting the clips on the jumper cable ends to ensure that they have a good electrical connections. Repeat step 14. 16. If the engine still does not start, remove the jumper cables as outlined in step 17 and transport the snowmobile to an authorized Polaris dealer for service. 17. Carefully remove the jumper cables in this order: A. Remove the negative end of the jumper cable from the snowmobile chassis. B. Remove the negative end of the jumper cable from the charged battery. C. Remove the positive end of the jumper cable from the charged battery. D. Remove the positive end of the jumper cable from the weak battery. 18. Reinstall the left side panel. 19. Close and secure the hood. 76

Make sure that the engine stop switch is in the UP position.
13.
Attempt to start the vehicle.
14.
If the engine does not turn over (crank over), wait 30 to 60 seconds
and attempt to start the engine again. If the engine does not start,
wait another 1 to 2 minutes and attempt to start the engine again.
15.
If the engine still does not start, try adjusting the clips on the jumper
cable ends to ensure that they have a good electrical connections.
Repeat step 14.
16.
If the engine still does not start, remove the jumper cables as out-
lined in step 17 and transport the snowmobile to an authorized
Polaris dealer for service.
17.
Carefully remove the jumper cables in this order:
A.
Remove the negative end of the jumper cable from the
snowmobile chassis.
B.
Remove the negative end of the jumper cable from the
charged battery.
C.
Remove the positive end of the jumper cable from the
charged battery.
D.
Remove the positive end of the jumper cable from the
weak battery.
18.
Reinstall the left side panel.
19.
Close and secure the hood.
