Step 4 Viewing and Deleting Pictures Viewing Pictures (Playback Mode) Press the c (Playback) button. c (Playback) • The last picture shot is displayed in full- button frame playback mode. • Press the multi selector H or J to view the previous image. Press I or K to view the next image. Continue holding down H, I, J or K to scroll quickly through pictures. Pictures can also be chosen by rotating the command dial. Multi selector • Pictures may be briefly displayed at low resolution immediately after switching to the previous or next picture. • To return to shooting mode, press the c button again or press the shutter-release button or b (e movie-record) button. • C is displayed when pictures stored in the internal memory are displayed. C Pressing the c Button to Turn on the Camera When the camera is off, holding down the c button turns on the camera in playback mode. The lens does not extend. C Viewing Pictures • Press the x button to switch between using the monitor and viewfinder display (A16). • Press the s button to switch between showing and hiding the photo information or shooting information that is displayed on the monitor (A17). • Pictures that were shot using face priority (A97) or pet detection (A59) will be rotated automatically when displayed in full-frame playback mode according to the orientation of the face (except for pictures shot when continuous (A76) or Exposure bracketing (A94) was set). • When images captured with the continuous shooting feature are displayed, each series of images is treated as a group, and only the group's "key picture" is displayed (see "Playing Images Captured Using Continuous Shooting Mode (Sequence)" (A113) for more information). 34
