Automatic inspection with a Fiery server

Automatically detect and remove sheets containing imperfections from the output. The removed sheets can be

reprinted and included in the final output in the correct order.

Automatic inspection options

The automatic inspection options in

Job Properties

control the automatic inspection feature on the Fiery server.

•

Auto inspection

Select to enable the automatic inspection feature for job.

•

Wait

Select to pause a job before printing and display the

Automatic Inspection

settings on the printer control panel.

This allows you to modify the settings before the job prints.

Wait

does not pause a job printed with the

Proof Print

feature.

•

Use the latest proof job

Select to use the latest proof print as the reference image for the automatic inspection function.

•

Select from target image ID

Select to choose the reference image for automatic inspection by entering the ID number assigned to a proof

print.

•

Proof ID

When you use the

Select from target image ID

option, enter the

ID number

from the proof print you want to use

as the reference image for automatic inspection.
