1440 print server, the easiest, most
cost-effective way to connect many Epson ink jet printers
without a type B interface to your Ethernet network.
Simply plug it into your printer’s parallel port (no
parallel cable required), connect it to your 10BaseT
network cable, plug in the external power supply, run
the installation software and you’re in business. In
minutes, everyone on your network can be churning
out attention-grabbing, Photo Quality graphics and
razor sharp black text.
The AXIS 1440 lets you run TCP/IP, IPX/SPX,
AppleTalk and NetBIOS/NetBEUI protocols (among
others) simultaneously. So your Windows
®
NT™,
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 3.x, Macintosh
®
,
UNIX
®
and OS/2
®
workstations can all access the printer
at the same time. Plus, the AXIS 1440 supports all
familiar Novell
®
Netware tools, including NW Admin
and PCONSOLE—making pinpointing printer errors
quick and easy.
Monitoring printer and print server status is also a
snap. Users and network administrators can monitor
directly from their Windows or Macintosh workstations,
or use any standard Web browser to monitor printer or
print server status.
The AXIS 1440 was designed and developed jointly
by AXIS and Epson specifically for Epson ink jet printers.
Its software architecture is based upon AXIS’s ultra
reliable ThinServer™ technology. And its flash memory
can be upgraded from a central point directly over your
