Installing Disk Firmware on your
AX4 Series system
This document describes how to use the Disk Firmware wizard for your
EMC® CLARiiON AX4 system. The Disk Firmware wizard is part of the
Unisphere
™
Service Manager (USM). The wizard checks for and downloads
disk firmware updates, and then extracts and installs the firmware files
to the system. If the firmware files you want to install are already on the
system, the download and extract steps are not necessary.

CAUTION
Running the Disk Firmware wizard on an AX4 system is a disruptive,
offline operation. As a result, you should run this wizard only when
all I/O from devices connected to the system is disabled. Plan you disk
firmware installation accordingly.
