New Vehicle "Break-In" NOTICE: Your modern Buick doesn't needan elaborate "break-in." But itwill perform better in the long run if you follow these guidelines: 0 Don't drive at any one speedfast or 500 slow for the first miles (804 km). Don't make full-throttle starts. 0 Avoid making hard stops for the first 200 miles (322 km) or so. During this time your new brake linings aren't broken yet in. Hard stops withnew linings can mean premature wear and earlier replacement. Follow this "breaking-in" guideline every time you get new brake linings. Don't tow a trailer during "break-in."See "Towing a Trailer'' in the Index for more information. Ignition Key Positions The key with the black plastic head operates the ignition lock. -- --
